Melbourne’s only life drawing session with a dedicated south-light setup and a single, 15-hour long pose.
Why Natural Light? Natural light provides consistent, soft illumination, reveals truest form, colour, and depth of the subject.
Why South Light? The south light (only in the southern hemisphere) is the artist’s gold standard: it's cool, stable, free from the harsh, direct glare of the sun, it offers perfect clarity and shadow.
We limit each life drawing session to 12 artists. This guarantees everyone has ample space, a good view of the model, and option to use the sight-size method with space to step back from the easel.
About the life drawing:
This is a practice-based, 3-hour session designed for both professional artists and present students. It provides the ideal setup and dedicated time for figure drawing.
-
Live Demonstration: Tutor and artist Shulamit Lambe will provide a live demo each session, openly discussing her process and answering questions.
-
Expert Guidance: The tutor will provide feedback each attendant during the second hour. This feedback is tailored to each artist's individual needs, questions, and stage of development.
